If you are unable to enroll in a course in SIS, you must reach out to the professor to request permission to enroll (We cannot enroll you without instructor permission). Professors can grant you ad hoc permission through SIS. You will get an email if you are granted permission. When granted permission, you can enroll in the course through SIS. Please note, these permissions expire, so it is up to you to monitor your email.
When ad hoc permission from the professor will not work:If the course you are trying to add will put you over 19 credits. You must submit an approved Over 19 Hours Petition form.
If the course you are trying to add has a time conflict with another course…You must submit an approved Time Conflict Override form.
If you are attempting to enroll in a Graduate Course. You must submit an approved UG Request to Enroll in a Grad Course.
If your ad-hoc permission expired before you were able to enroll in the course. You must submit an approved Course Action form.
Please Note: our registration forms have been moved to DocuSign. We hope this makes our process a little easier for everyone. Using DocuSign provides a seamless workflow, and allows each recipient to track the progress of the request.
As always, check your Academic Requirements Report in SIS to ensure you are enrolling in the correct courses to satisfy your degree requirements.
